![]() Its a combination of Mirthful and Joyous Wilds, which is exactly what i want but won't suite everyone of course. About the only possible thing it is missing is sand, which isn't a problem unless you have disabled the Masterwork building that lets you grind rocks to sand. Plenty of wood in the biome that makes up most of it. Along with gold, platinum, and I think Aluminium. There's tons of iron bearing ore around, and marble above near the top of the mountain. Although the volcano is a tall mountain, the lava level itself is absolutely perfect at about 2 z levels below ground level. That volcano allows a 3x3 embark with the river and the volcano. I think these are identical each time they're genned - apologies if not.Ĭan't see any coordinates to give, but you can find it if you find the big lake thing in the upper left, then on the Region (middle) map put your cursor 1 tile to the right of the water, and go down to the first river. I actually found an amazing embark along these lines on the Blessed Serra map that comes with the Masterwork mod. There are some settings, under detailed worldgen at least, that make world gen stop if a certain percentage of megabeasts have died. Change the check year, if you don't care about megabeasts, or increase their number (and recognize that this may harm population density). You can change this at the world generation screen (pick year 500 instead) or by going into advanced worldgen. If you check in the year 30 and they're all dead (or just too few left) worldgen will stop. I zapped that part of the games assembly code (this is not advisable) and found that it was causing some specific errors in the errorlog. Increasing the number of people will increase the number of megabeasts killed. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I profiled Dwarf Fortress and found something that was, in long-term worldgen, asymptotically dominating the CPU time spent. I haven't been able to produce a magma pipe at will just yet but I did happen upon this interesting volcano embark. The world is just a simple, mostly flat square with 50+ hand placed volcanoes. This map actually came about through experimentation, trying to produce a volcano on flat land, aka a magma pipe. For the savagery weighted range parameter, try setting it to 1:1:1:3:3.
